Joseph Browne
Joseph has been working as a hearing aid audiologist for over 15 years and has been voted runner-up in the Irish Audiologist of the Year in 2013, 2015 and 2019.
Having graduated from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge with a degree in Hearing Aid Audiology, Joseph furthered his studies in University College Cork and graduated with a Masters Degree in Advanced Audiology.
Registered with the Health Professional Council in the UK and an active member of ISHAA, the Irish Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, Joseph has completed numerous study courses over the years to keep abreast of changes in audiology and to keep up-to –date with the developments in digital technology.
Joseph has been the Clinical Audiologist at the Galway Clinic since 2010, where he carries out weekly audiology clinic for two busy ENT Consultants. Since 2013 Joseph has been working part-time as a locum audiology for the HSE West. Joseph has been working as a hearing aid audiologist for over 8 years and has been voted runner-up in the Irish Audiologist of the Year in 2013, 2015 and 2019.

In 2013, 2015 & 2019 Joseph was the runner-up in the ‘Irish Audiologist of the Year’ in a competition run for private practitioners in Ireland. Joseph is the Company Director at Galway & O’Neill Hearing Care and is responsible for its day-to-day operation.
Teresa Browne
Teresa has been working as an audiologist since 1999. A native of County Tyrone, she trained in the Royal Victoria Hospital Belfast, where she was employed from 1999-2007, the latter 4 years she worked as Chief Audiologist.
Having successfully passed her British Association of Audiologist exams in 2000, she continued with her studies at the University of Ulster. In 2001 Teresa graduated with a BSc. First Class Honours in Clinical Physiology, specialising in audiology. During her time in the Royal, Teresa set up the direct access to audiology clinic, for which she won an award. She was a senior lecturer on the trainee audiologist BAAT course, and was responsible for the day-to-day running of a large department in the absence of the Senior Chief.
In 2007, Teresa moved to Galway to take up her current role as Senior Audiologist with HSE West. She carries out hearing tests on children of all ages and tests and fits digital hearing aids to adults.
In 2013 she graduated from University College Cork with a First Class Masters degree in Advanced Audiology. As part of her Masters, Teresa carried out research on the ‘Feasibility of Audiologists removing cerumen in Ireland’. This work is soon to be published in the Irish Medical Journal.
In 2019 Teresa, resigned from her post as Head of the Audiology for the HSE West Region and has taken up a full time post with GHC. Teresa is the Chief Audiologist in our outreach clinics and is primarily based in Loughrea, Mountbellew, Ballinasloe and Knocknacarra Clinics.
